Jerusalem-American colony hotel
For me, it's one of the nicest places in Jerusalem. a jam that the wind of time, didn't damage.
the American Colony hotel, in east Jerusalem, that it's walls hide many secrets. in the previous century, few spies...and many journalists and photographers, used the hotel as a place for their meetings and plans.
The most favorit spot, was the garden, with its coffe tabels, coated with special old school arabic mosaics.
Although the hotel, renewed itself with a new wing, that is additional to the royal majestic suites, the heart of it ,remained this mediterranean garden.
around a fountain, Always a symbol of life and prosperity. in one of my visits, during winter time, the garden
looked sad. so i was happy today, to see it in a full blossom. an artistic combinations of flowers, like in an amazing bouquet, with great sense of colors.
the dominant is red, with much green around. It's like a patio, for all the rooms facing it, in a rectangle . the breakfast buffet is rich, but we were satisfied with a croissant and black coffee.
if i stayed here some more time,i would try and write some poems. definitely sit with my laptop for hours. it cheers me up. that's a lot, i guess.
