Graffiti hipster -south Tel Aviv
I have to admit, i live in one of Tel Aviv suburbs, so sometimes I am too lazy to catch up with the vibes and trends, that are changing frequently this 24/7 city
For instance, Florentine neighborhood in the south of Tel Aviv, has changed unrecognizably
Bars, restaurants, options for vegan eating, and the last trend: pet shops, that are bombing this area .the explanation is simple life fact: almost everyone here ,has an average of 2 dogs and 0 children
tourists, were not acquaintance with this industrial zone, till it became an hub for graffiti creativity

This quite carpenters and furniture production district, turned to be the most hippie canvas for known artists such as Dede ,Klone ,Fish Air and the top photographer and installation artist: Sigalit Landau
Why Florentine changed her face?
poor citizens, as well as many illegal foreign workers flocked, to the area that was really neglected. The expensive cost of living in Tel Aviv, got also a crowed of young people for its lower-rents in loft buildings.

in the 1990s, the mix of garages and abandoned buildings in the area, attracted underground artists, that has also some political message. as
drawing on walls is still illegal, but municipal authorities turn a blind eye so entire streets were conquered by spray paint and colorful - inspiring -thought-provoking sometimes bizarre typography
What's now?
in the last 5 years, this urban south part of Tel Aviv became more of a mainstream, so real estate investors took the warehouses and basements, and build tiny apartments like 35 meters in outrages prices: to begin with million shekel++
This change to hipster neighborhood, also brought galleries that opened spots for the artsy crowd, not just the "street tellers"
As in other graffiti centers of the world, much of the work is in text form, involving quotes from known and new poets and gives a wide range for self-expression

Many of the buildings were marked for demolition, so the existence of the murals is counting its last days
Make sure you'll visit this bohemian neighborhood, before this district, and its special venue disappears

The smaller the alley, the wilder the artwork. While you can’t really get lost here

Were to drink your vegan coffee?
At the beginning of the main street :Florentin I was enchanted to the showcase of SHIZEN. Some plants invited me to walk inside and find a cozy place, to embrace quite moments, from the jumpy vibe of the location
This new place, offers a curious option to indulge in a Florist-Nursery + vegan coffee house. I was looking around to the small details, made from recycled materials. Most of the plants are imported, and the menu is based on vegan products; so I had to choose the milk to my coffee, from options that aren’t my cup of tea
ANY how-I spent here good time, and there is also a small terrace were people were smoking their happy hour-green herbs typical to this liberal and open-minded community
